PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus enabling a photographer to easily perform a zooming operation and a releasing operation with his or her right hand or left hand, without spoiling the design.SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes a lens unit, a ring-shaped first ring operation member 15 arranged around the lens unit, a ring-shaped second ring operation member 14 arranged around the lens unit, a base member 20 holding the first ring operation member 15 and the second ring operation member 14, so that the first ring operation member 15 can slide in a direction orthogonal to the optical axis of the lens unit and the second ring operation member 14 can be rotated around the optical axis of the lens unit, first detection means 21c and 21d for detecting that the first ring operation member 15 is slid, and second detection means 21b for detecting movement caused by the rotation of the second ring operation member 14. |
