PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound image localization apparatus capable of calculating a more appropriate predicted gazing point in accordance with various situations, when a sight line of a driver is led to the predicted gazing point with a technique of stereophonic sounds.SOLUTION: A sound image localization apparatus obtains a speed of an own vehicle (S100), obtains a position of the own vehicle at a present time (S110), and executes a look-ahead degree calculation processing (S120). The look-ahead degree calculation processing calculates a look-ahead degree f from travel-related information. Then, after a road shape is obtained (S130), the curvature of a road is obtained (S140) on the basis of the position of the own vehicle after fT seconds. A speed and a yaw rate are estimated (S150) to calculate a predicted gazing point (S160). In other words, the look-ahead degree is changed based on the travel-related information in consideration of a fact that how far of a predicted gazing point is reasonable to be calculated changes in accordance with various conditions of the own vehicle. |
