A cushion plunger for a hydraulic cylinder according to the present invention is a cushion device arranged in a hydraulic cylinder apparatus. A rod-shaped cushion plunger in which one end is connected to a front end of a rod, and the other end is arranged to be seated at a flow passage formed at a head cover when the rod is maximally compressed, comprises a first body connected to the front end of the rod; and a second body seated at a flow passage formed at the head cover when the rod is compressed to the maximum extent, wherein the second body is formed to be separable from the first body.
