A method for determining the thickness of an electric steel sheet includes a first step for calculating thickness raw data of a coil per length of designated unit using a thickness measuring apparatus; a second step for calculating a thickness tolerance and a thickness deviation from the thickness raw data and managing the thickness tolerance and the thickness deviation; and a third step for determining whether the coil is appropriate by comparing the thickness tolerance and the thickness deviation with a reference condition. The coil includes a first coil and a second coil mutually connected with each other by a welding part. The thickness determining apparatus detects the welding part, generates a welding part signal, and determines a starting point and a complete point of thickness determination by directly sending the welding part signal to a process control computer. |
