A method of transmitting a transmit power control command in a wireless communication system includes a step of configuring downlink control information including TPC commands and a step of transmitting the down link control information onto a control channel. The cyclic redundancy check (CRC) of the downlink control information is masked with a TPC identifier. The transmission power of am uplink control information is controlled by using the TPC command transmitted onto the downlink link control information, thereby reducing the interference with another terminal and the battery consumption of a terminal.
