A variable displacement swash plate type compressor according to the present invention includes a cylinder block having multiple cylinder bores formed in parallel along the longitudinal direction of the inner circumference; a driving shaft rotatably installed on the circumference of the shaft of the cylinder block; a rug plate installed and rotated around the driving shaft; a swash plate installed around the driving axis and the rug plate so as to vary the angle of inclination; and pistons inserted to the outer circumference of the swash plate through a shoe, moving back and forth within the cylinder bore to compress the refrigerant, wherein the piston has a rotation prevention device formed therein, which has a projection to suppress the piston contact with a jig during the manufacturing process of the piston. Accordingly, the projection gives an effect of preventing damages on coating and sealing of the rotation prevention device during the manufacturing process of the piston. |
