The present invention relates to a safety apparatus for an elevator. According to one embodiment of the present invention, a safety net assembly does not block a moving path of an elevator while the elevator is operated. The safety net assembly automatically blocks the moving path of the elevator while the elevator is not operated. Thus, a falling accident of a worker or an elevator user can be prevented.
