<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a driving support apparatus, where a driver can know reliability of provided information by switching content of voice information, according to a reliability index value for an obstacle detection result. <P>SOLUTION: The driving support apparatus is provided with a preceding vehicle detection means 10a for detecting the preceding vehicle and the distance between two vehicles control means 10b controlling the distance between the preceding vehicle detected by the preceding vehicle detection means 10a. There is also provided the function of calculating the reliability index value for the detection result by the preceding vehicle detection means; and an obstacle information providing means 2 for providing voice information prompting the driver to pay attention, when the reliability index value is varied from a state which is larger than the threshold set before hand to a smaller state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
