摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of measuring thickness of an oil film during reciprocating friction test, while reducing cost as well as time and effort required for preparation.SOLUTION: A method of measuring thickness of an oil film 4 lubricating between a metal moving piece 1 and a metal pin 2 during a reciprocating friction test which brings the pin 2 into sliding contact with the reciprocating moving piece 1 includes: embedding an eddy current film thickness sensor 5 in a position retracted by a predetermined friction margin from a sliding contact surface of the pin 2; causing a high-frequency current to flow in a coil of the eddy current film thickness sensor 5 to generate a high-frequency magnetic field; detecting changes in impedance of the coil when eddy current is induced to a surface of the moving piece 1 by the high-frequency magnetic field; and converting the amount of change to determine thickness of the oil film.
