A separation/recovery device that: performs separation and recovery of paper sheets and auxiliary conveyance bodies; smoothly recovers even weak-bodied paper sheets and paper sheets that are curled or rolled; and is provided in a paper sheet conveyance device that pushes and moves from the rear, and conveys paper sheets, by using the auxiliary conveyance bodies that are moved by air flow inside a conveyance pipe. A passage section (96) that recovers paper money (6) is provided downstream of a separation unit (81) that causes only paper sheets (paper money (6)) to pass downstream and into which the auxiliary conveyance bodies (16) come in contact and are stopped. A rib (110) is provided on a side wall in an upstream section of this passage section, a conveyance belt (98) is arranged downstream of the rib (110), and this passage section causes paper money to cling to the conveyance belt and be conveyed, by sucking in the air inside the passage from a suction port (75) at the rear of the conveyance belt. The rib (110) prevents paper money from clinging to the side wall of the passage before the paper money reaches the conveyance belt.
