<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device capable of reducing the generation of image persistence and suppressing deterioration in display quality.SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device comprises: a first substrate and a second substrate; a planarizing film arranged on a principal surface of the second substrate so as to cover a plurality of gate wires and a plurality of source wires; a common electrode arranged on the planarizing film corresponding to a pixel surrounded by the plurality of gate wires and the plurality of source wires; a signal electrode 227 arranged on the common electrode via an interlayer insulating film; a second alignment film arranged on the interlayer insulating film so as to cover the signal electrode 227, and subjected to alignment treatment in an X direction; and a liquid crystal layer arranged between a first alignment film and the second alignment film. A plurality of convex electrodes 227a are arranged on the interlayer insulating film, which are connected to the signal electrode 227 and aligned in an extension direction of the signal electrode 227, and which protrude from the signal electrode 227 in a Y direction orthogonal to the X direction.</p> |
