The present invention relates to an electrode assembly accommodated inside a battery case of a secondary battery, the electrode assembly is formed to have a stacked structure with a separation plate interposed between an anode and a cathode, includes an even number of unit cells of which pole plates at the uppermost end and the lowermost end have the same polarity, and has a stepped structure.
