Abstract The present invention provides a replaceable cartridge (116) for a light-based dermatologic treatment device (100), the replaceable cartridge comprising at least one flash lamp (112) and a memory storing one or more predetermined values, each predetermined value being indicative of at least one characteristic of the flash lamp, an amount of electric current provided to the at least one flash lamp being determined in response to at least one of the one or more predetermined values stored in the memory.
