This electric vehicle is provided with: an electric motor that generates traveling motive power for driving a vehicle wheel; a battery case that, in a battery space therewithin, houses a battery that stores DC power for supplying to the electric motor; and an inverter for converting the DC power from the battery to AC power and supplying the power to the electric motor.
