PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform imaging, with a ferrule accurately aligned in a preset focal position.SOLUTION: A ferrule imaging apparatus 4 comprises: imaging means 50 for imaging a ferrule F; a support base 51 for supporting the ferrule; a focus plate 90 arranged between the support base and the imaging means, and having a focus reference plane aligned in a focal position of the imaging means; and transfer means 100 for transferring the ferrule on the support base toward the focus plate, to make the ferrule contact with the focus reference plane.
