The method comprises the following steps: (1) providing a specimen from a subject; (2) analyzing the specimen by using a gradient gel electrophoresis analysis; and (3) based on the result of the gel electrophoresis analysis in step (2), determining if the subject is at high risk for developing atherosclerotic vascular disease. |
