<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system that can detect a flying direction of radiation with a more inexpensive cost and a simple configuration, and further with a stable operation.SOLUTION: A radiation flying direction detection system includes: plastic scintillation fibers 12 that are juxtaposed in an array at fixed intervals; two sets of sensors that are juxtaposed on a front face side in the array at the fixed intervals in a radiation flying direction of these plastic scintillation fibers, and are composed of a mask member forming a plurality of slits; optical control type optical switches 13 and 14 that switch scintillation light from each plastic scintillation fiber; a photomultiplier 16 that detects the scintillation light from the optical control type optical switch; and a pulse-height analyzer 18 that performs a light intensity analysis of the scintillation light detected by the photomultiplier.</p> |
