A liquid crystal display according to the present invention comprises a liquid crystal display panel; a common voltage generation unit which generates a first common voltage and a second common voltage swung in opposite directions between a first level and a second level every predetermined period, supplies the first common voltage to odd pixel lines of the liquid crystal display panel, and supplies the second common voltage to even pixel lines of the liquid crystal display panel; a first gate driving unit which generates gate pulses of a first group consisting of a first gate high voltage and a first gate low voltage and gate pulses of a second group consisting of a second gate high voltage and a second gate low voltage and alternately supplies the gate pulses of the first group and the gate pulses of the second group to odd gate lines of the liquid crystal display panel by synchronizing with the swing of the first common voltage; and a second gate driving unit which generates the gate pulses of the first group and the gate pulses of the second group and alternately supplies the gate pulses of the first group and the gate pulses of the second group to even gate lines of the liquid crystal display panel by synchronizing with the swing of the second common voltage. |
