Provided is a fire hose coupler wherein a female fitting can be easily coupled to a male fitting. A female fitting (2) of a fire hose coupler is provided with a receiving fitting (5), a fastening ring (6), a gripper seat (7), and coupling grippers (8). The receiving fitting (5) is provided with a substantially cylindrical seal disposing portion (5c) on which a seal member (11) is disposed, and a substantially cylindrical detachment prevention portion (5d) having an inner diameter smaller than the inner diameter of the seal disposing portion (5c), which prevents the seal member (11) from being detached toward the tip of the female fitting (2). The detachment prevention portion (5d) is disposed on the back of the gripper seat (7) when viewed from the tip of the female fitting (2), and an inclined surface (5e), the inner diameter of which gradually decreases from the tip toward the base end of the female fitting (2), is formed on the inner periphery of the detachment prevention portion (5d). The inclination angle of the inclined surface (5e) to the axial direction of the female fitting (2) is larger than the inclination angle of the outer peripheral surface of the tip portion of the male fitting to the axial direction of the male fitting. |
