PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray CT apparatus for setting a scanning plan of a main scan preventing the scanning plan which is not for children from setting, in case a subject is the child. SOLUTION: The X-ray CT apparatus includes: a scout image acquirer 604 for acquiring a scout image by performing scout scanning in the subject; a first determiner 608 for determining whether or not the subject is the child based on the acquired scout image; and a second determiner 609 for determining whether or not the scanning plan being set is for children when the first determiner determines the subject is the child.
