PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent outdoor air and rainwater, etc., from intruding indoors through a gap generated in the inside. SOLUTION: A thumb turn 3 for a lock inputs turning operation force to a dead cam 42 inside a lock box provided in an opening/closing body 2, and includes: a cylindrical support part 4 fixed to the lock box; a cylindrical shaft member 5 freely turnably supported by the cylindrical support part 4; a knob part 6 attached to the cylindrical shaft member 5 from the indoor side of the opening/closing body 2 and freely turnable together with the cylindrical shaft member 5; a core part 7 attached to the cylindrical shaft member 5 from the opposite side of the knob part 6, engaged with the dead cam 42 at the end part and freely turnable together with the cylindrical shaft member 5; and a gap closing member 33 attached to the end part of the core part 7 so as to close a gap between the core part 7 and the cylindrical shaft member 5 and the gap between the end part of the core part 7 and the dead cam 42.
