A reinforced soil structure includes a soil portion 122, a porous and/or permeable and/or perforated tube 132a, and a liquid reinforcing agent. A method of manufacturing a reinforced soil structure includes mounting a demountable rigid mould 102, adding a soil portion 122 into the mould, arranging the tube in the mould, and dispensing liquid reinforcing agent through the tube. The reinforcing agent may be acrylic, epoxy, polyester or other materials, and may be delivered under pressure into the tubes. An enzyme soil stabilising agent may be used to treat the soil portion prior to addition to the mould. The soil structure may be a soil beam, a soil column, a soil slab, or a soil retaining wall, and may be pre-cast, cast in-situ, pre-stressed or post-tensioned. The tube may extend parallel to the longitudinal axis of the mould. |
