The present disclosure provides a touch panel and a display device employing the same. The touch panel includes at least one transparent layer consisting of a carbon nanotube metal composite layer including a carbon nanotube layer and a metal layer coated on the carbon nanotube layer.

1. A touch panel, comprising:
a first electrode plate comprising a first substrate, a first transparent conductive layer attached on the first substrate, and two first electrodes separately located at two ends of the first transparent conductive layer and extended substantially along a first direction; and a second electrode plate spaced from the first electrode plate and comprising a second substrate, a second transparent conductive layer attached on the second substrate, and two second electrodes separately located at two ends of the second transparent conductive layer and extended substantially along a second direction, the first direction being substantially perpendicular to the second direction, and the second transparent conductive layer being opposite to the first transparent conductive layer; wherein at least one of the first transparent conductive layer and the second transparent conductive layer comprises a carbon nanotube metal composite layer comprising a carbon nanotube layer and a metal layer, the carbon nanotube layer comprises a plurality of carbon nanotubes, the metal layer is wrapped around each of the plurality of carbon nanotubes.
