The present invention relates to a communications device. A method for operating a mobile terminal according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a step for receiving network identifier information from a communications device; a step for connecting to the communications device by using the received network identifier information; a step for requesting product information to the communications device; a step for receiving home appliance production information from the communications device; and a step for transmitting the production information to a server. According to the present invention, product registration for a home appliance can be performed with convenience.
