PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which can reduce humidity measurement error to be caused by individual differences of a humidity sensor mounted thereon with a relatively simple configuration, and a humidity measurement method.SOLUTION: A humidity measurement unit 301 acquires a voltage value corresponding to a resistance value of a humidity sensor 401. A reference data holding unit 303 holds correspondence between a voltage value determined for another humidity sensor and corresponding to a resistance value of the other humidity sensor, humidity of atmosphere to be measured and temperature of the atmosphere to be measured. An individual difference data holding unit 304 holds individual difference information of the humidity sensor 401 acquired by means of the humidity measurement unit 301 with the atmosphere in known temperature and known humidity. A humidity operation unit 305 calculates humidity of the atmosphere to be measured, on the basis of the voltage value acquired by the humidity measurement unit 301 during humidity measurement, the temperature measured by the temperature measurement unit 302, the correspondence held by the reference data holding unit 303, and the individual difference information of the humidity sensor 401 held by the individual difference data holding unit 304. |
