PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive support device capable of performing drive support control at an appropriate timing in accordance with a state of a vehicle.SOLUTION: A drive support device 2 comprises: a radar 3 which detects a distance and a relative speed between an own vehicle 1 and an obstacle; an arithmetic processing section 4 which calculates a predicted collision time between the own vehicle 1 and the obstacle on the basis of the distance and the relative speed between the same; and a control section 5 which executes support control to support the own vehicle 1 to avoid a collision and emergency braking control to prevent the collision or alleviate collision damage, on the basis of the predicted collision time. The arithmetic processing section 4 and the control section 5 execute the support control a predetermined period earlier than starting the emergency braking control and correct the predetermined period in accordance with the relative speed between the own vehicle 1 and the obstacle. |
