PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition and a conveyer belt excellent in adhesive property with a galvanized steel cord and having improved fire resistance and cold resistance.SOLUTION: The rubber composition contains a rubber component containing butadiene rubber, chloroprene rubber and natural rubber, an organic cobalt salt, rosin or a rosin derivative, and an organic chlorine compound. The content of butadiene rubber is 5 pts.mass to 20 pts.mass in 100 pts.mass of the rubber component, the content of chloroprene rubber is 20 pts.mass to 65 pts.mass in 100 pts.mass of the rubber component, the content of the organic cobalt salt is 0.2 pts.mass to 1.0 pts.mass based on 100 pts.mass of the rubber component in terms of cobalt, the content of the rosin or the rosin derivative is 2 pts.mass to 9 pts.mass based on 100 pts.mass of the rubber component, and the content of the organic chlorine compound is 5 pts.mass to 35 pts.mass based on 100 pts.mass of the rubber component. |
