SPOT RESISTANCE WELD PRETREATMENT METHOD FOR Sn-BASED PLATED STEEL SHEET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spot weld pretreatment method for an Sn-based plated steel sheet capable of improving continuous dotting performance by extending service life of an electrode tip used for performing spot weld to the Sn-based plated steel sheet which has bad welding property.SOLUTION: After replacement and attachment of a Cu electrode to a spot resistance weld machine, electrical conduction is performed to an Ni plate having thickness of 1 μm to 2 mm once to five times under spot resistance weld condition that the Cu electrode deposits to the Ni plate. The Ni plate is formed of Ni or Ni alloy.
