PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of accurately detecting replacement of a toner container 11.SOLUTION: A toner consumption amount determining unit 21 determines a toner consumption amount consumed to perform printing based on print data from the print data. A toner remaining amount determining unit 22 determines a toner remaining amount in the toner container 11 from the toner consumption amount determined from the print data. A toner remaining amount data updating unit 23 updates toner remaining amount data 31 in response to a change of the toner remaining amount determined by the toner remaining amount determining unit 22. A toner container replacement detection unit 24 determines that the toner container 11 is replaced when the toner remaining amount determined by the toner remaining amount determining unit 22 is larger than the toner remaining amount based on the toner remaining amount data 31. |
