PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink cartridge including an air communication part through which an ink chamber can communicate with outside air with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: The ink cartridge includes: an air communication part 120 having a gas passage 121 opened outside and a communication port 122 allowing the gas passage 121 to communicate with an ink chamber 36; a closing member 128 positioned at a first position to close the gas passage 121; and a slider 123 contacting the closing member 128 and moving the closing member 128 from the first position toward a second position at which the gas passage 121 is opened outside. The slider 123 has: a large diameter part 129 having a large diameter hole 133 whose cross sectional area is larger than that of the gas passage 121 and whose upstream side end part in a slide direction is opened; and a small diameter part 130 having a small diameter hole 135 whose downstream side end part in the slide direction is opened and that is in close contact with an internal surface of the air communication part 120 at a position closer to an opening side of the gas passage 121 than the first position. |
