摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply for vehicles capable of deriving acceleration performance efficiently from various types of drive motors by simple control.SOLUTION: A power supply 1 for vehicles supplies an electric current to a drive motor of an electric vehicle and includes a secondary battery 3 almost allowing a drive motor 2 to exert its continuous rating output, a capacitor 5 connected in parallel with the secondary battery 3 and allowing the drive motor 2 to exert its maximum output and control means 8 of controlling supply of an electric current to the secondary battery 3 and the capacitor 5. The control means 8 switches a mode of supply of an electric current to the drive motor 2 from the secondary battery 3 to a mode of supply of an electric current to the drive motor 2 from both the secondary battery 3 and the capacitor 5 by using a map representing the relationship between the accelerator opening and a stable speed during the continuous rating output when the vehicle speed detected by vehicle speed detection means 11 does not reach the stable speed calculated from the accelerator opening detected by accelerator opening detection means 10 after a lapse of a specified time t.
