PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water jet processing method device for spraying high pressure water containing grinding material to a workpiece from a nozzle injection hole to cut the workpiece.SOLUTION: First, a prescribed reference figure is cut by water jet processing and the processed shape of a workpiece that has been cut is recognized. Then, the difference between the processed shape recognized and the reference figure is calculated. When the difference (maximum value Rmax-minimum value Rmin) exceeds a predetermined threshold α, the roundness of the nozzle injection hole is determined to be abnormal. Based on the result of determination, whether the nozzle must be replaced or not can be unambiguously determined, so the nozzle can be used until its service life ends while preventing processing defects.Therefore, economy is improved as compared to a case where the nozzle is replaced at an early stage. |
