PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the excessive input of torque to speed increasing means or the excessive high rotation of power generation means even when a door is quickly closed or opened by a door closer.SOLUTION: A door closer is configured to add a force in a closing direction to a door 21. The door closer comprises: a rotating member 1 which rotates in accordance with the opening operation and closing operation of the door; speed increasing means 11 for increasing the speed of rotation to be transmitted from the rotating member in at least the door closing operation; power generation means 13 for performing power generation in accordance with the rotation whose speed has been increased by the speed increasing means; and torque restriction means 41 for restricting torque beyond predetermined torque from being transmitted from the rotating member to the speed increasing means. |
