PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor control method and device that are able to reduce torque ripple of a magnet auxiliary type reluctance motor without applying a great calculation load on a CPU.SOLUTION: A control device 50 that drives and controls a brushless motor 3 with configuration having four poles and 24 slots comprises: a fundamental current calculation part 52 configured to calculate a fundamental wave current indicating a wind current value exerted by maximum torque control; a correction component calculation part 59 configured to calculate a 12-order first higher harmonic component Bsin12(&thetas;+&bgr;), which offsets torque ripple resulting from magnet torque, and a 12-order second higher harmonic component Asin12(&thetas;+α), on the basis of a phase current value detected by a current sensor 64; a correction map 58 storing the relation between the parameters A, B, and α, &bgr; of a phase current and both the higher harmonic wave components; and a current correction part 60 configured to produce current command values Id' and Iq' by superposing each 12-order higher harmonic wave component on the fundamental wave current, thereby correcting a supply current. |
