Disclosed are a black box system engaged with a portable terminal and an engaging method for the same. In accordance with an embodiment of the present invention, the method for being engaged with the portable terminal includes a step of recognizing a time point in which a last connection with a user terminal is finished as a search start point when connection between the user terminal and local area network is recognized; a step of determining whether an event generated from the search start point to the present exists; and a step of providing reference information for the user terminal when the event exists. The present invention allows a user to easily and immediately confirm the event such as an accident happening when the user is out of a detection space through the mobile terminal belonged to the user when the user approaches to the detection space.
