The present invention relates to a novel compound having a basic structure formed by fusing an indole moiety to a terminal of a benzocarbazole moiety, wherein various substituents are bonded to the basic structure; and an organic electroluminescent element comprising the same. By including the compound on one or more organic layer, preferably a light-emitting layer, the present invention can improve light-emitting efficiency, driving voltage, lifespan and the like of the element.
