The invention relates to an electric damper assembly (10) comprising a damper (12) having a rotor (30) and a stator (34), said rotor (30) and stator (34) connecting a first component and a second component that can be moved relative to said first component. Field coils and induction coils are also provided and a rotation of the rotor relative to the stator causes the field coils to rotate relative to the induction coils. The field coils are supplied with electric energy in order to generate an electromagnetic field, a movement of the field coils relative to the induction coils induces an induction voltage in the induction coils. The invention is characterised in that a sensor (20) is provided, said sensor detecting the movement of the first component in relation to the second component. A control unit (22) is also provided, said unit being connected to the sensor and the damper and supplying the field coil with electric energy in such a way that an electromagnetic rotary field is generated. Said field is dependent on the detected movement and overlies the rotation of the rotor (30) relative to the stator (34). |
