<p>A light-emitting unit (110) has a plurality of light sources (112), each of which has a light-emitting element. A control unit (130) makes said light-emitting unit (110) emit light in either a bright mode or a dim mode. The light-emitting unit (110) emits a first amount of light in the bright mode and a lower second amount of light in the dim mode. Also, in the dim mode, only some of the light sources (112) emit light. A luminance-detecting unit (120) detects the luminance of each light source (112). In a first mode, the control unit (130) selects which light sources (112) to turn on in the dim mode on the basis of luminances detected by the luminance-detecting unit (120) while the light-emitting unit (110) is in the bright mode.</p> |
