The present invention relates to a method of managing a tracking area using a tracking area managing device in a network that includes at least one digital signal processing device and a plurality of wireless signal processing devices connected to the digital signal processing devices, respectively. The method includes: receiving information on a first tracking area related to a terminal from a mobility management entity; changing the information on the first tracking area to information on a second tracking area based on at least one item of information regarding where the terminal moves and configuration information on the network; and transmitting a tracking area update accept message including the information on the second tracking area to a wireless signal processing device to which the terminal is connected.
