The method involves preparing material and a rod in predetermined length, and forming one end of the rod as a receiving portion and the other end of the rod as a bending portion. The excess material is removed. One side of the bending portion is removed by trimming process to obtain certain thickness of the bending portion to form a working surface on a surface of the bending portion with smooth texture. The bending portion is bent to form a tool insert with a pivot hole. A connecting surface is formed between the working surface and receiving portion.
