The cell (50) has two battery cell terminals (11, 12) connected with a battery system through a monitoring circuit (40) i.e. flexible printed circuit board. A positive electrode and a negative electrode are arranged within a battery cell housing (30) and connected with the battery cell terminals arranged within the battery cell housing through flow paths. The monitoring circuit is designed to record measurement variable of the battery cell, where the monitoring circuit is directly arranged on a top of a battery cell housing cover (28).
