An electromechanical machine (100), comprising at least one coil made of a material that becomes electrically superconducting when its temperature is below a critical temperature Te, comprises a functional part (10) contained within an interior volume (22) of a thermally insulated and fluidtight enclosure (21), a wall (23) of this insulated enclosure being crossed in fluidtight manner by at least one shaft (111) for transmitting mechanical power between the functional part (10) situated in the interior volume (22) and a space outside the insulated enclosure. The functional part (10) is thus used as a precooled heat sink to maintain within the insulated enclosure (21) the temperature conditions required for maintaining superconductivity.
