A method, system, device, controller, and measurement device for controlling traffic measurement. The method comprises: the controller acquires a traffic identity of a traffic that is to be measured by each traffic measurement module in a network; the controller adjusts, on the basis of a configured load balancing policy, the traffic that is to be measured by each traffic measurement module; the controller issues a measurement command to each traffic measurement module, where the measurement command comprises an adjusted traffic identity of the traffic that is to be measured by each traffic measurement module. Because the present invention has distributedly deployed in the network multiple traffic measurement modules, when the network comprises an increased quantity of switching devices, load balancing of the measurements of the traffic transmitted among the switching devices is allowed, thus allowing each traffic measurement module to share as evenly as possible the traffic transmitted in the network, reducing the amount of traffic that is to be measured by a single traffic measurement module, and ensuring normal operation of traffic measurement in the network. |
