<p>Disclosed are a method for decoding an intra-screen prediction mode of a chroma block in scalable video coding, and an apparatus using such a method. An intra-screen prediction decoding method of a chroma block comprises the steps of: decoding a chroma block intra-screen prediction mode of a base layer and a luma block intra-screen prediction mode of an enhanced layer; and inducing a chroma block intra-screen prediction mode of the enhanced layer on the basis of the chroma block intra-screen prediction mode of the base layer and the luma block intra-screen prediction mode of the enhanced layer. Thus, the video encoding and decoding efficiency can be raised by encoding and decoding the intra-screen prediction mode of the chroma block of the enhanced layer.</p> |
