PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a map display system, a terminal device, a server device, a map display method, and a program which can appropriately control map display when it is possible to acquire map information from both terminal device and server device.SOLUTION: A terminal device is configured to: perform control to output first map information stored in the terminal device or second map information stored in a server device, to a display unit; perform control to receive reference position information of a map to be output to the display unit by requiring a user to perform an input operation via an input unit; calculate a reading range of the first map information on the basis of the reference position information; read out the first map information within the reading range; transmit an acquisition request for the second map information according to the reference position information; and receive the second map information transmitted from the server device in response to the acquisition request. The reading range of the first map information is larger than a range of the second map information to be received. |
