PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for predicting a seizure of a mold, which enables the seizure of the mold to be accurately predicted by focusing attention on a direct factor causing diffusion reaction, and to provide a program.SOLUTION: In a method for predicting a seizure of a mold, a temperature history of each part of the mold during a casting process is acquired. A jump frequency during one cycle in which an atom of a mold material springs out from a crystal lattice of the mold material of each part of the mold is computed on the basis of the acquired temperature history. The seizure in each part of the mold is predicted on the basis of the computed jump frequency in the one cycle. |
