PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power conversion device which is a device for converting reciprocating motion into rotating motion of one direction, is suitable for preventing effects besides vertical motion of such a reciprocating motion that a stroke length, speed, a period, etc. are irregularly changed, has high durability and facilitates maintenance, and to provide a power generator using the power conversion device.SOLUTION: A power conversion device includes: a base frame 1; a slide frame 2 which is supported relatively slidably by the base frame 1 via a slide guide 3; an output shaft 4 which is disposed freely rotatably on the center of the base frame 1; and two rotation mechanisms 5, 6 which transmit the reciprocating straight line motion caused by a relative sliding movement of the base frame 1 and the slide frame 2 as the rotating motion of the output shaft 4. Therein, respective two rotation mechanisms 5, 6 turn only in the same direction by actions of respective one way clutches 15, 25 and, thereby, convert the reciprocating motion of the slide frame 2 into the rotation of only in the definite direction of the output shaft 4. |
