The present invention provides a heat exchanger manufacturing method that, even when the position of the tube openings of heat exchanger tubes that are to undergo tube expansion varies according to the type of heat exchanger, enables the efficient manufacture of heat exchangers without requiring a mechanism for adjusting the stop position of a flare plate or any complex adjustment operations, the variety of heat exchangers having different overall lengths in the longitudinal direction of the tube being manufactured by said method having flares of the same shape formed at the tube openings thereof at a constantly fixed depth. The present invention further provides a device for the heat exchanger manufacturing method, and an air conditioner and/or outdoor unit thereof equipped with a heat exchanger manufactured using said manufacturing method. The heat exchanger manufacturing method is characterized by manufacturing a heat exchanger by using a connecting and tensile force generating means that connects a flare base, the tip of which is equipped with a flare punch for flaring, to a gripping body base and generates a tensile force in a directions so that both are drawn towards each other across a fixed distance, in order to draw the flare base towards the gripping body base, which is held and fixed to a reference platform by means of a locking means, thereby pressing the flare plate into the expansion part of the tube opening side and implementing prescribed flaring, after which the flare base, the gripping body base and a sliding base are withdrawn from the heat exchanger. |
