The invention relates to a novel method for producing photovoltaic cells by depositing the materials to be used in the formation of said cells, wherein a) a gas jet of an electric contact material is directed onto multiple positively oriented sub-region surfaces (+11) of a substrate material (1) at an angle (α) while shading the negative sub-region surfaces (-11) connecting said positively oriented sub-region surfaces in order to form rear-face contacts (2), b) a similar negative jet (S2) is applied onto the shaded connecting sub-region surfaces (-11), thereby depositing cell connectors (3), c) the photovoltaic cell architecture is then applied onto the rear-face contacts, and d) an additional jet of an electric contact material is directed onto the photovoltaic elements (15).
