PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cytokine receptor chain having affinity to interleukin (IL)-13, and nucleotides.SOLUTION: Provided are an IL-13 receptor and a fragment thereof, and a polynucleotide coding for the peptide. The polynucleotide is selected from the group consisting of (a) a nucleotide sequence from nucleotide 256 to nucleotide 1404 of a particular sequence; (b) a nucleotide sequence from nucleotide 103 to nucleotide 1242 of a particular sequence; (c) a nucleotide sequence varying from the sequence of the nucleotide sequence specified in (a) or (b) as a result of degeneracy of the genetic code, and the like.
